Central Dinard, the area approximately 1km in all directions around the plage de l'Ecluse has many apartments and houses which are essentially 2nd homes. In the summer months, especially the first two weeks in August, the population of the town can increase significantly as families arrive for their traditional summer vacations and catch up with family and friends. The property market in the town is heavily influenced by the tourism factor. Properties around the beach and centre attract premium prices, whilst those in the suburbs can be considerably less expensive.
